How can we help?

We specialize in guiding clients who are finding it hard to meet their IT objectives. Whatever the scale of these objectives, we can assist in three steps:

1. Conducting a technical audit helps each of us understand precisely the project's current stage of development. It provides a 'snapshot' view of the completeness of code and documentation against the project plan / designs. For new projects, this step becomes the specification and design review stage. We evaluate the proposed solution and verify the project plan in terms of achievable goals, deliverables and costs.

2. Identifying problem areas that promote higher than acceptable levels of risk within the project. These may relate to the development itself (i.e. improper use of technology, poor code quality, and inefficient development environment) or they may be 'silent killers' such as specification creep, inadequate cost control, poor resource management or lack of clear and structured deliverables. In new projects there are also the risks of immature technology and/or inadequate planning for scalability in the architecture. Problems such as these can easily manifest themselves in any IT development. In some cases the problems are already known, although a clear solution has yet to be identified.

3. Identifying a suitable strategy for problem resolution and delivery which fits into the project plan and budget as seamlessly as possible. For projects in progress, we focus on approaching problem resolution from an integration perspective, rather than the popular 'scrap and start again' technique. Any proposed solution makes maximum use of all work complete to-date and takes the most cost-effective approach in dealing with the problem.
